Adler and Allan appoints Chairman and Finance DirectorSpirit Capital (“Spirit” formerly AAMPE*) is pleased to announce the appointments of Peter Harcourt, Chairman, and David Wilton, Group Finance Director, at portfolio company Adler and Allan.

The appointments follow the recent investment in Adler and Allan by Spirit Capital and show the company’s commitment to enhance its management team in order to support its continued growth.

Peter has a long track record in the oil sector including significant experience with BP Amoco and more recently British Fuels. He has been a director at Adler and Allan for several years and steps up to Chairman from his current operational role.

David joins from NM Rothschild & Sons where he was a Director in the Leeds office.  David is a very experienced corporate financier who has worked in the local market for nearly fourteen years, ten of which were with Rothschild.  He has advised on a number of high profile deals including the sale of Encon by 3i, the takeover of Birse by Balfour Beatty and the sale of ALcontrol Laboratories by Kelda. 

Adler and Allan provides a full range of oil, water and tank services to its blue chip customer base from a national network of 16 depots. The business is particularly noted for its skills in emergency spill response situations having been heavily involved in the clean up exercise in the aftermath of the Buncefield explosion in December 2005 and several other high profile emergencies.
